We're having.....

Another Boy! (Its pretty obvious there's no mistake in that! I guess I shouldn't have gotten rid of all of my boy stuff, and been so presumptuous we were having a girl!)

A new product you've got to see!

So my very talented cousin Jaime just developed a new product to calm fussy/colicky babies. Her oldest was very fussy and she spent the nights and days of his first few months bouncing him on an exercise ball. Her back hurt and she was uncomfortable, but it was the only thing that helped with his colic. And as you know we'll sacrifice anything to make a baby happy! Her product is called the Soodleseat and you can find it at www.soodleseat.com. This is something I wish I had when mine were babies because they were both fussy and Nicolas was colicky for 9 months! I'll be sure to get mine before the next one comes. So go check it out, its very affordable and would make a great shower gift!

Pay It Forward

Some of my friends have done this so I thought I would continue the fun. I also think its fun to get real mail.
In order for me to receive a handmade goodie in the mail, I need to post this same invite on MY blog. Here's how the Pay It Forward works:
Pay it Forward Exchange is based on the concept of the movie "Pay it Forward".
I will send a hand made gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join the PIF exchange.
All the gifts will be made and posted out "sometime within the next year." How exciting to not know when your surprise package will arrive!
What you do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
This Exchange is only open to those with active websites or blogs.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PROMISE TO POST THIS SAME 'PAY IT FORWARD' MESSAGE ON YOUR BLOG! THEN YOU WILL PAY IT FORWARD TO 3 PEOPLE WHO COMMENT ON YOUR BLOG.
I'd love for you to join me. What do you think?!
Other comments are welcome, but only the first three will be my Pay it Forward recipients.
Sounds like fun, right? No pressure.....just fun!

First baseball game

Kaden's first baseball game was yesterday. He got to play baseball this year instead of tball. He seems to like it better and we like it better because it goes faster and they can actually get outs.
Before the game started Kaden asked his coach if he could play first base, he let him and Kaden did a great job.
This is Kaden running into home he was so proud of himself! This is one of the great hits Kaden got during the game. He hit really good and he ran a lot faster then last year since they could get out.

What happened to my sweet little boy?

I don't know what to do with this kid! It seems like as soon as he put the big boy underwear on he got a major attitude. Nicolas was born with an attitude but once he hit 9 months and stopped screaming at me all the time he was pretty sweet as long as he was fed and well rested. The last three weeks he's been so naughty, I can't leave him and Kaden alone without Kaden yelling at him to stop hitting. At the gym when I pick him up they'll say he got put on time out for hitting. When I get after him he just screams NO at me. Kaden was always so sweet and I never had to deal with this with him. If we said no to him or raised our voice he would be heart broken and cry. Not Nicolas, he is the complete opposite! I'm sure it hasn't helped that he has been so sick the last couple of weeks, as soon as he finished his bout with herpes he got a horrible cold. We've been stuck in the house for 2 weeks so hopefully he can get better and we can get through this so his sweet little personality will come back!

This poor little guy...

has been so sick! Monday he had a fever of 102+ then Tuesday he woke up with a mouth and throat full of canker sores and a fever. I got worried as the day went on and called the doctor, they had me bring him in right away. The doctor checked him out and thinks he has herpes type1 (not the std). He said his saliva is extremely contagious and not to let him get it in his eyes or he could go blind! Kaden is very worried and is always keeping his eye on him. The doctor put him on a strong antibiotic and we're hoping he starts feeling better. Nicolas has always been so healthy, he's never even been on an antibiotic. He can't and won't eat hardly anything and he's waking up about every hour at night. Today is the fourth day stuck in the house and we're starting to get stir crazy! His mouth hurts so bad and it makes me sad to see him in so much pain, he just holds it open and hardly moves.
So that is a little update on our lives, I just had to post something because I was getting tired of seeing those pink cookies whenever I looked at my blog! And just an explanation on why the cookies are pink, as much as we would love to have a little girl, we had some good friends over on Valentines Day and that is how we told them about our little surprise!
