What happened to my sweet little boy?

I don't know what to do with this kid! It seems like as soon as he put the big boy underwear on he got a major attitude. Nicolas was born with an attitude but once he hit 9 months and stopped screaming at me all the time he was pretty sweet as long as he was fed and well rested. The last three weeks he's been so naughty, I can't leave him and Kaden alone without Kaden yelling at him to stop hitting. At the gym when I pick him up they'll say he got put on time out for hitting. When I get after him he just screams NO at me. Kaden was always so sweet and I never had to deal with this with him. If we said no to him or raised our voice he would be heart broken and cry. Not Nicolas, he is the complete opposite! I'm sure it hasn't helped that he has been so sick the last couple of weeks, as soon as he finished his bout with herpes he got a horrible cold. We've been stuck in the house for 2 weeks so hopefully he can get better and we can get through this so his sweet little personality will come back!

More Caffiene, Please said...

I can always tell when my boys have an ear infection or some sort of sore throat or something going on because they turn into hitters and they pinch the dogs - something they NEVER do normally (well, CJ's outgrown this all together but Trey does the same thing CJ used to). Good luck!

That is so crazy. It sounds like my Landon. He will be 3 in a couple of months and he has a serious attitude and yells no to everything. We are just trying to be really consistant. We should swap methods and maybe both of us can get some sanity. He is always worse after being sick, or a big change. This one is Cait coming home. We have a cup with marbles and he gets to earn marbles when he does things nice or does them right away when I ask. When he fills the cup we go for ice cream. But if he pees his pants, screams, or tells us no then he loses a marble. We do it with Brenten too but it is for different things. It seems to be helping and has worked in the past. I will let you know if it works this time.

Look how cute he is how could you ever get mad?
